A long time ago...

...I started this blog with the intention to show some or more picutres taken by me. But somehow I did not had the time for photography.

But two weeks ago I spent a weekend in Zandvoort, Netherlands, for attenting the DTM race. I took the chance and brought my cam along for taking some race pictures. For my first panned shots I am quite satisfied even as the pics only have a 'boring' perspective and nothing special. Might be related to the fact that I primarily went there to watch the race and not taking pics - that was only a little bonus ;)

All pics are more or less 'out of cam' - I only adjusted brightness and contrast a little bit and sharpened after resizing.

Ok, this is it now - my own blog. Don't know why it lasted so long until opening an own one - perhaps due to the lack of content.

Primarily I will use this blog to share my (hopefully) upcoming experiences I gain using my new camera. Two weeks ago i switch from a Fuji S6500fd to my first DSLR, a Canon EOS 450D. I bought the 450D along with the kit lens 15-55mm but recognized quite fast that with only this one lens I'm not gonna be content. So I poked around some boards and decided to get a 55-250mm from eBay - I can't wait till the new lens is going to be delivered.

Currently I do not know whether I will only blog topics related to photography...let's wait and see.

As 'appetizer' I attach one of the first pictures I made with the new cam. At one of the last days of my holiday I got up very early to make a few shots during sunrise. I stood up very, very early and went to the spot. Anyone may image the surprise when recognizing that I was not the only one there (greets to Sten at this point).
